Power transformer is a complex and critical component of power transmission and distribution system. System abnormalities, loading, switching and ambient condition normally contributes towards accelerated aging and sudden failure.
The purpose of condition monitoring is to detect incipient faults and thereby avoiding catastrophic failure of the equipment and developing a data base which helps in more accurate failure analysis thereby improving reliability of service. |
